The short version: Money Money Money keeps your information on your phone. There are no accounts, no bank logins, no ads and no tracking, and your budget records are not sent to Swarm.
Who we are
Money Money Money ("the app") is made by Swarm Intelligence in Australia. You can contact us at anthony@swarmintelligence.au.
What the app stores, and where
Everything you enter (your name, pay, accounts and balances, goals, bills, spending and your progress in the app) is saved only on your device, in the app's own storage. It is not sent to us or to anyone else, and we can't see it.
If your iPhone backs up to iCloud or your computer, the app's data is included in that backup, which is handled by Apple under your Apple Account settings.
To clear your money information, use Settings → Reset everything in the app. Reset also clears local chat and rewards, pending M3 notifications, and the shared widget snapshot. Device backups are managed separately in your Apple Account or computer settings. Deleting the app does not remove Calendar events already synced to a calendar account.
What we don't do
- We don't connect to your bank or ask for bank logins.
- We don't move, hold or process money.
- We don't use advertising, analytics, tracking or crash-reporting tools.
- We don't sell, rent or share personal information.
Helper chat
On supported iPhones with Apple Intelligence ready, M3 can generate replies using Apple's on-device model. A limited snapshot of your recorded budget and recent messages is processed on your iPhone. M3 does not send chat messages or budget records to Swarm or a remote AI service. Other devices keep the basic helper and savings calculator. AI replies can be inaccurate; check important details.
Chat history is saved in the app's local storage. Use the chat's options menu to clear a conversation, or Settings → Reset everything to remove all local app records.
Widgets
The app shares a snapshot with its own widget using a private App Group on your device. This includes your selected helper, weekly budget, goal progress and next bill. It is not sent to Swarm. Widgets can display financial information on the Home Screen or Lock Screen; choose where to place them and use your iPhone privacy settings.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app shows alerts on your phone, for example to help you sort an Apple Pay tap into a category. They're created on your device, and no notification content is sent to us.
iPhone Calendar (optional)
If you turn on Sync to iPhone Calendar, the app asks for calendar access, creates its own "Money Money Money" calendar and adds your paydays, bills and auto transfers to it. Amounts are included unless you switch off Show amounts. It doesn't read or change your other calendars. If your calendars sync with iCloud or another account, those events sync too, under that service's terms. Turning sync off removes the Money Money Money calendar while Calendar Full Access is available. If access has been revoked, allow it again or remove the calendar yourself in Calendar. Removing the app alone does not remove these events. It's off unless you switch it on.
Shortcuts and Apple Pay taps
If you choose to set up the optional "Log a tap" automation in Apple's Shortcuts app, Shortcuts can pass the shop name and amount to the app when your Wallet automation runs after a contactless card tap. This stays on your device. The app never sees your card number or bank details.
Partner offers
Partner offers are not active in this release. The app does not request or display partner catalogue offers. We will update this policy before introducing features that change how data is handled.
Young people
The app is designed for people aged about 15 to 25. Because it doesn't collect personal information from anyone, it doesn't collect information from children or teenagers either.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the app's update notes.
Support messages
If you email Swarm, we receive the address, message and attachments you choose to send so we can help you. Avoid sending bank details or screenshots containing information you do not want to share. Email is handled by your and our email providers.
