Privacy policy

This policy explains how Swarm Intelligence Pty Ltd (ABN 80 136 699 477) handles personal information on swarmintelligence.au and in Swarm Labs apps. We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

This website

You can use this website without giving us any personal information. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It doesn’t use cookies, doesn’t identify you and doesn’t track you across other websites. The website doesn’t use advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and doesn’t set cookies of its own. Fonts and images are served from this website; the analytics script is the only third-party service it loads.

Our hosting provider automatically processes technical information, such as IP addresses, browser type, pages requested and times, to deliver the website and protect it from misuse. We don’t use this to identify you.

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive what you send, such as your name, email address, organisation and enquiry. We use it to respond and to keep appropriate business records. If you register interest in an app, we use your email address only to tell you about that app.

Swarm Labs apps

Our apps are designed to keep your information on your device wherever practical, and to collect only what they need to work. Each app publishes its own privacy details in the app and on its App Store listing.

Rewards and partner offers

Some apps will include rewards and offers from partners. If you tap one, you leave the app and go to the partner’s website or app. The affiliate network that manages the offer, and the partner, may use cookies, device identifiers or similar technology to record that the visit came from Swarm, so a commission can be attributed. That information is collected by them, not by us, and is governed by their privacy policies. We don’t share your app data with partners.

How we use and share information

We use personal information for the purpose it was provided, and for related purposes you’d reasonably expect. We don’t sell personal information. We use service providers, such as email and hosting providers, some of which may store information outside Australia, and we may disclose information where required by law.

Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and keep it only as long as we reasonably need it.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, by emailing anthony@swarmintelligence.au. If you’re not satisfied with how we handle a privacy concern, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this policy as the website and apps change. The date above shows when it was last updated.
